Login-Logoff virus

Today I was asked to recover a computer which couldn't log-in to Windows XP. It always logged off automatically right after logging in. This is the third time I've encountered this virus. I am so sick of this symptom. In the last two times, I had to re-install the OS. This time I felt it was so hard and time-consuming to do this. Trying to search on the Internet, I found some articles guiding how to resolve this issue.

The cause is that the computer registry is changed in the path of the file userinit.exe. So the solution is changing the path of the file in the registry back to the correct location. However the problem is how to access computer registry while I cannot log in to Windows. I looked for any software in Hiren CD but it didn't help. Fortunately I remembered a CD named WinPE something. I tried the CD and the result was so perfect. I edited the registry by running OS on the CD. The computer worked again and I could run anti virus software to clean the the system. From now on I no longer worry of this virus.

My short trip to Long Hai

Last Sunday I had a short trip to Long Hai with my colleagues. We started at 7:30 AM in 2 two buses. Long Hai is a suburban district of the coastal provine of Ba Ria - Vung Tau not very far from HCMC. We arrived there at 12 PM after visiting veteran clinic. It was so sunny and hot. The beach was crowed with tourists and street vendors.

We hired camp beds which are shaded by big umbrellas to sit and enjoy the smell of sea. We had lunch on the beach with bread, sea-food and beer. Some people went swimming in the sea but I didn't for I was so lazy to change clothes. I just went along the beach and took pictures. There was a temple near the beach called Dinh Co. To visit it, I had to go up many steps of a small mountain. Standing on the top of the temple I could have a great view of the whole beach. What a nice day!

It rained this evening

It rained heavily this evening. I used to hate rain when living in the countryside because it made the road muddy and I got difficult going to school. However now my thinking has changed. I want it rain at night especially at weekends when I stay home where there is no air conditioner.

It's so hot in the last few months that I can't sleep. When rain comes, I feel cool. It is said that there is a storm coming which creates rain those days. Although storm may cause disaster for costal residents, it's the only factor that can bring rain to this hot Southern region.

My aunts and cousin in the city park

Today my aunt went to the city to have health check. My cousin was diagnosed to be short-sighted. My aunt also had her eyes checked for cataract. Fortunately all of them are OK. After finishing we went to an entertainment park in the city to have some fun. We had sight seeing, played some games and took many photos.

New dress for my PC

Getting home from work, I turned on my computer and there was an idea in my mind - changing regular XP theme into new Windows 7. It took just some minutes to search and find the theme on Internet.

Having the new theme applied, my PC interface looks so great. The task bar gets mysterious black. Minimize, maximize and close button on the top right corner of each window are changed to a nicer style. Browsing folder with 'My Computer' is provided with a left pane where many functions are available.

In general, the new theme is quite impressive. I have used computer for years and get so familiar with normal XP style. Sometimes I get bored with it. Giving my PC a new dress makes it look better and so my feeling.

Yahoo 360 has not shut down yet

Yahoo made an official announcement that it would shut down Yahoo 360 on July 13. However today, July 14, it's still alive. Don't know why Yahoo wants to delay the time. It also doesn't reveal exactly the time to carry its decision, just saying it leaves some more days for moving blogs to the new profile.

In the last few months Yahoo has urged its bloggers to move entries before the shutting-down day. It even sent email to remind each user. For me, I don't want to use Yahoo's blog any more. The first reason is I don't want my post to be read and then made comments and then rumored by people who know me. I want to live peacefully and expect people respect my privacy.

Try to develop software

This morning I didn't have breakfast. I went to a book store to buy some CDs, one of them is VS.NET 2005. I think I should learn and practise my coding skill. Now I don't have chance to develop software as I used to so spending time practising may help.

My aunt has asked me to make a software to manage her small book store. The requirement is very simple, just keeping track of the inventory. However there is a small problem. She doesn't live in the city so I get difficult contacting her to clarify issue and to test the software. She can only have a look at the software in the next time I come back to my hometown some months later. If it has problem working or there are changes, the time to have it used will take longer.

Clean it up

Today is Saturday. I had a half day off. Going home at about 1:30 PM, I caught very horrible smell in my room. Quickly I recognized it was the smell of dead mouse. I tried to clean up my room so I didn't take a nap as usual.

My room is quite dusty because of carpenter houses nearby. I have to clean it at least every two days. I took me about 1 hour to clean and arrange my stuffs. I threw away many unused stuffs to make my room more orderly.

It's so hot these days

It's so hot in the last few days even at night. My fan is turned on most the time I am at home. However it's still very hard to sleep with such climate. In the office, it is better with the air conditioner.

I don't suffer from the heat at day time on business days. Only at weekends, I stay home so it 's not very comfortable to take a nap. Thank goodness power cut does not happen at weekends. If it happens, I don't know where to hide from the heavy heat.

I know that now it's hotter than the past years because of the the global warming. Some cities have the temperature over 40 degree and hospitals get more patients who got sick because of the heat.

This evening there was a light rain but it helped to make the climate a little cool. Although I don't like rain because it causes flood in the city and traffic jam, I still hope for it at night at my bed time so that I can have good sleep.

Do research

Today I have most time for researching some plug-ins for web. I found that there are a lot of tools available on the Internet that I can use freely. They are very perfect plug-ins that can make a site look attractive and professional. It's the first time in many years that I feel comfortable when doing research for this time I research with my eagerness not because of any pressure.

I can't believe that so many free tools are put on the Internet. I've checked all of them and stored the links so that I can make a reference some day.

Jonas Brothers: Up Close, in 3-D

The trio (a group of three instrumentalists or singers, nhóm gồm ba thành viên) talks about their upcoming 3-D feature, how they spend free time, their favorite concert films and more

By James Rocchi
Special to MSN Movies

Sitting in a Beverly Hills, Calif., hotel room, Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, collectively known to millions of fans as the Jonas Brothers, seem spent (vi: mệt mỏi). But while fatigue (en: extreme physical or mental tiredness, vi: sự mệt nhọc) doesn't dim (vi: làm lu mờ ) their enthusiasm (en: great excitement for or interest in a subject or cause vi: sự nhiệt tình ) for talking about their upcoming film, "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience," a brief recap (en: a summary at the end that repeats the substance of a longer discussion vi: tổng kết) of their schedule makes it abundantly clear (rất rõ ràng) why the three might seem exhausted. The night before, they performed a medley (en: an arrangement made from a series of melodies, often from various sources vi: bản nhạc hỗn hợp) with Stevie Wonder at the Grammys, combining their hit "Burnin' Up" with his classic "Superstition"; a few weeks prior, they had been performers at the inaugural festivities (vi: lễ nhậm chức) for President Obama; they were preparing to fly to New York to be the musical guests on "Saturday Night Live"; and they were getting ready for the release of a 3-D concert film that not only captures the trio's stage show, but also incorporates Beatles-style moments of mob hysteria (vi: sự cuồng nhiệt của khán giả) and brief diversions (vi: trò giải trí) such as Joe working crowd control in a fake mustache (vi: ria mép) and NYPD beat (vi: đi tuần) cop uniform, or Nick driving a horse-drawn carriage (vi: xe ngựa) through Central Park.

The Jonas Brothers spoke with us about the exciting-but-daunting challenges of making a 3-D film; the dangers of hamming it up for the 3-D cameras; the exhausting, exciting high points of recent events; their best presidential mementokỷ vật; and how life looks even better in high-definition 3-D.

MSN Movies: When Disney said, "OK, we're going to do a 3-D concert documentary," were you excited, terrified or a mix of the two emotions?

Kevin Jonas: Uh, we were beyond excited. We were a part of Miley Cyrus' [3-D film, "Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds"] last year, and so we had already had a taste of what it was like, so we were definitely excited about the opportunity.

Any trepidationsự rung động on your part, Joe?

Joe Jonas: Um, no, I was very excited. I always knew that, since we did the last one, the 3-D concert was pretty cool, and it was a cool way of doing a movie. And we were excited to do our own and kind of think of ideas for the tour to sort of mix into the action.

I was curious, Nick, did the plan to shoot the film change how you thought of the planning of the tour? The choreography or the stage sets or even the set list?

Nick Jonas: It did. We were definitely aware that we'd create this movie when we made our stage, so we worked with our tour director to really make our stage exciting for the 3-D movie, and it came out great. We're really pleased with the final product.

Nick, preparing to shoot the film, did you actually sit down and watch "A Hard Day's Night"?

NJ: Absolutely, we love that movie. It's one of our favorites of all time. So, along with the kind of fan reaction side of that, we try to incorporate some of the humor that [the Beatles] had, sort of off-the-cuff, improv-type stuff. We added some pieces that aren't reality to make it a movie, as opposed to a concert film.

Check out a gallery of Jonas Brothers photos

I also couldn't help but notice the high level of detail offered by the 3-D. At one point, I noticed, "Oh, Kevin has broken a string again. ... Kevin's broken two strings." Is that level of detail, when you're watching it, freaky for you?

KJ: That level of depth, because of this high technology, is incredible for us, because, when we watch it and now that we're filming a television show, we're becoming more educated on depth perceptionnhận thức, angles, what lights really do to a camera. You watch this 3-D technology and you realize that you're in focus and that light's in focus and that's in focus, all at the same time; and that they can pull whatever they want to out into the audience is maybe one of the most amazing things about this high quality of footagecảnh phim, that's stunning. Because of what has been documented behind the scenes, it's like, that was our life, and now it's in 3-D. And that music video we did in Central Park ... that's awesome for us, it's very cool.

Is real life a disappointment after seeing so much footage in that kind of high-def with such great color?

KJ: No, because our life is pretty great, and we try to take those mental pictures every day, especially with moments like last night. We never let that just go by; we definitely soakngâm it into our brains forever.

Joe, in terms of dealing with the mechanics of filming, you had these huge 3-D camera rigsthiết bị that have to be much closer than a normal film camera would be. Was it ever a concern that the filming was going to get in the way of doing a concert and putting on a show for your fans?

JJ: It was never really a concern -- well, I guess it was at one point, when we were concerned that the cameras might be too big and the fans might not be able to see. We opened up the floor seats to general seating so they're able to stand up, and it wasn't like a standing room show, and they were able to move the cameras. And in the cities we filmed in, we performed twice in those cities, so people could come back if they felt they had a problem. We'd just give them an extra ticket.
